Diane from Tenterhooks Core Team was awarded funding from Creative Scotland to research and develop a Physical Theatre Lab. Diane is interested in the potential for physical comedy to engage sensory-seeking young audiences who have complex additional support needs. She spent time researching and playing with physical comedy techniques, characters, and narratives. She watched a lot of Lucille Ball, Buster Keaton, and The Muppets. The project culminated in a week-long lab where Diane worked with 6 performers from theatre, clown, and circus to play and develop new ideas for sensory physical comedy.
