We knew that to make Hercules the Bear really come alive we needed some puppetry expertise to help raise our game and skill level. Mervyn Millar (War Horse) was so generous in sharing both his insights and skills as a maker and puppeteer. It was a steep and rewarding learning curve! We had a lot of fun playing with how to combine our clowning instincts and skills with puppetry – ultimately trusting our guts and following what we loved playing and what the collaborative team loved seeing.
